1) Look at the URL for this page

http://www.opensourceentrepreneur.com/doku.php/rants_and_raves:raves:start

The key parts are at the end: rants_and_raves:raves:start

Rants and Raves: is what a Wiki calls a namespace. I think of it as a category. raves: is a subcategory of Rants and Raves start is the page name i.e. this page is called “Start”

2) To add your own topic, browse to the right category and look for this “Start” page. If your topic doesn’t fit in one of the existing categories (it should) see step (3) below.

Then look at the web address in your browser, replace “start” with the name of your page and hit enter. Try and pick something descriptive e.g. “I Love AOL“. Also, it’s best to avoid spaces in your name, so use underscores “_” or make it all one word with capitals: I_Love_AOL or ILoveAOL.

Using the previous example, the web address would be:

http://www.opensourceentrepreneur.com/doku.php/rants_and_raves:raves:ILoveAOL

You will see a message saying that the topic does not exist. Click the “Create this Page” button and away you go.
